There is currently no obligation to wear a mask. However, we recommend wearing an FFP2 mask or at least a medical face mask.
Guided tours of Trausnitz Castle are currently not possible; the rooms can be visited without a guided tour.
From 1 August 2022:
Monday to Saturday: Guided tour only (in German; every half hour)
Sunday/holiday: No tours; visitors can go around on their own
In the Chamber of Art and Curiosities there are no regular guided tours.

Taking pictures or filming is unfortunately not allowed during the guided tours and at the Chamber of Art and Curiosities. Pictures of the outside of the buildings may be taken for private use only.
Photo and film shootings for further use as well as the flying of drones / multicopters are basically subject to approval and charges. Here you will find information on photography permits / film permits.
Bulky items may not be taken into the museum rooms. Lockers are available near the cash desk for large bags, rucksacks, photo equipment etc. Prams and child carriers can be left at the cash desk. No liability can be accepted for items deposited in lockers or at the cash desk.
Food and beverages may not be taken into the museum rooms.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in any of the buildings. We cannot offer supervision for animals brought along. Please keep dogs on an lead on the castle grounds.
